Description
This pattern is called Calendula (or Morgenfrue) and was produced by Aluminia Royal Copenhagen faience from 1934 to 1967, such was its popularity and timeless qualities. The design is by the iconic designer and potter NILS THORSSON. This beautiful shallow bowl is an early production piece, based on the coloring and crazing, it also does not have the basket weave on the edges. It is signed on the bottom with Aluminia Pottery mark, also know as the beehive mark. It is in great condition with no damage of any kind. The zinnias are orange with brown centers. This beautiful Serving Bowl is shallow at 2" deep. It is a buttercream in the background and trimmed out with orange, brown and green. It is 10" across the top of the bowl. This serving or spaghetti bowl is made by Royal Copenhagen in Denmark.
