From my personal collection, I have decided to let go of this amazing Folk Art jewelry hand painted box. It is lacquer and the coloring is absolutely stunning. It is hand painted on all sides and has the most beautiful birds and flowers. It is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind. It is one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever owned. This particular piece was made in Alhajero, Mexico and is an early piece. It dates to about the 1940’s to 50’s. They are still being made today by Artists and if you do a little research will find them in a similar style (nothing like this coloring or pattern), and they sell NEW, for $350-$2,000. This is much prettier than anything you will find online today. This piece is in excellent condition and has been displayed and not used for several years. It is 9" across the front and has 5 drawers with small pulls that are metal and shaped like feathers. It is footed and the front, sides and back are all painted. This piece is 5 1/4" front to back and 6" tall. There are bright yellow birds on the top and the coloring is better than I can describe.
