From my personal collection, I have a cabinet full of demitasse tea cups and saucers. When I get a new one, I boot out an old one that I don’t love as much as some of the others. It is becoming more difficult to do the kicking out of some of my favorites. I have had this piece for about 30 years and it is time to let it go. This piece is Bavarian. Made in Germany and has a very ornate gold trim around the inside of the cup and the outside rim of the saucer. It is just a stunning piece. It has great detail and no damage of any kind. The saucer is 4 1/2" across. The cup is 3" across the top and 2" tall. Just a very stunning, early demitasse. It dates to the late 1800’s to early 1900’s.
