Description
I have purchased a group of African hand made basket. The estate sale that these pieces came from was from a woman and her husband that lived in Africa from the 50’s-70’s. These baskets are from that era. They all seem to be in nice condition with no damage. I am going to put all of the listings in with changing only the title. I will note if there is any damage or not. Most are what I would consider very close to mint. This particular basket is very large and has a lid. These are all from the Zulu tribe, from what I have been told and are all, completely handmade. The coloring on these pieces are fairly muted….only beige, brown and a very dark brown to black. Some are prettier or more designed on the inside than the outside. I work for an auction house/Antique shop with certified apprasiers (for 5 years, they have been in business for over 50). If you have questions, please ask. If I don’t know, I will to get an answer for you.
This piece is 35" around and 11.5" tall to the handle on the top of the lid. Nice and clean, no lid.
