Description
This is a pretty neat old item that I picked up at an estate sale. It is a heavy duty cobblers shoe mold. It has a metal heel and is otherwise wooden. It looks as though it is adjustable, but I couldn’t figure it out. I have seen these turned into bookends and used as doorstops. It is a pretty heavy piece. Perfect for a farmhouse or for display in a shoe store. It is a size 9D. It has the numbers G386 on one side and 9. On the other side it is marked Nov 15 1954 and Arnold Bros. Company. It is 11 1/2" long and 4" wide. This is the most elaborate of these that I have found over the years. Probably as they became more modern, they became more detailed.
