Description
Absolutely Stunning! I love hand painted roses and some artist are able to paint them so perfectly. This is an German Altwasser Fruit Bowl Set. One large bowl and 6 smaller matching bowls. They date to about the 1880’s. They has lovely pink roses and a gray and ivory background. The Serving bowl is 9 1/4" across and 2 1/2" tall. The little snack or dessert bowl show minor wear to the gold on the rims of 2 of the bowls. The rest are great. No chips, cracks or damage. They are 5 3/8" across.
CT Germany was first part of a mark used by a company in Altwasser, Germany (now part of Walbrzych, Poland), in 1845. The mark was used by Carl Tielsch. … CT Germany was used by the Hutschenreuther firm even after the Altwasser factory, now part of Walbrzych, Poland, was nationalized by the Polish government. I try to describe items as accurately as possible.
