Description
This is a really stunning landscape pattern tea set. It is from the 1930’s and in great condition. The colors are bright and vivid. It is a bright orange, green, blue and yellow. It has a beautiful pattern on each piece, all hand painted. No chips, cracks or damage. This set includes a Teapot, Creamer, Sugar, 4 tea cups and saucers and 4 luncheon or snack plates. Just stunning. This is early Noritake, Japan. Red print Noritake symbol. The research I have done, shows this to be from the 1920’s for the export market.
All are trimmed out in gold and there doesn’t seem to be any gold loss. They are in great condition.
The Teapot is: 6 3/4" tall and 8 3/4" from spout to handle.
The Creamer is: 5 1/2" tall and 7" from handle to handle.
The Sugar is: 3 1/2" tall and 5" from spout to handle.
The Cups are: 2" tall and 3 1/2" across the tops.
The Saucers are: 5 1/2" across.
The Snack plates are: 7 1/4" across.
I can’t express enough how beautiful this set is in person. Just a stunning landscape with lily pads in the foreground, a barn and trees in the background. There are blue flowering bushes on the right side of the plate. It fades from blue to orange to yellow with green in between. Just stunning!
