This is a very pretty set. It is in very nice condition, does have some crazing. It is made by Villeroy & Boch – Dresden 2. It has the "Mercury" Ink stamp which dates to 1874- 1909. The gold is intact and this set would make a stunning addition to your bathroom decor. The water basin has a handle on each side. It is 15 1/4" across and 17" across at the handles. It is 5" deep. The chamber pot is 8" across and 5" tall, it is 10 1/2" from the front to the handle. the pitcher is 11" tall, 5 1/2" across the top and 9 1/2" from the spout to the handle. All pieces are exceptional. The only tiny divot is on the back side of the chamber pot handle. This can be seen in the pictures.
I did some research on this set and according to the Maker’s Mark, this brown design with Mercury dates to 1874-1909. I do not know if this was reproduced at a later date. It has the brown, Dresden and Villeroy and boch back stamp.
