Description
This is a fantastic Antique doll bed. It dates to the turn of the century and is a Charles Eastlake bed. It has a wooden bottom and ornate trim. It is in nice condition with no damage. There are some signs of wear on the wood. This piece was probably played with quite a bit over the last 100 years. It is 25" long, 14 1/2" wide and 18" tall at the head of the bed.
The Eastlake Movement was a nineteenth-century architectural and household design reform movement started by British architect and writer Charles Eastlake. The movement is generally considered part of the late Victorian period in terms of broad antique furniture designations
