Description
This is a very beautiful casket plaque. It is very finely detailed with the crown of David at the top. It is etched in the center Rest in Peace. There is a drape across the top with flowers and fringe pattern in the silver. The crown of David has very ornate details. It has a Torch on each side of the etching and flowers and leaves at the bottom. It has been professionally framed in gold wood with light blue trim. The background is a very dark navy blue fabric. The frame is 70 1/2" x 9 1/2". The casket plaque is virtually flat. It is 5 1/2" wide and 5 3/4" long. I have collected antiques since 1977 and this is the first I have ever seen like this. I believe it is English. It dates to the 1880’s maybe early 1890’s.
