Description
This is a very nice old hand made all hand stitched quilt. Not only are the patches hand sewn but all of the stitching throughout the piece are done by hand. The back has been applied in a couple of different sections. This is the bow tie pattern. The coloring is fantastic, with every color in this quilt. There is a thin beige boarder, which is a muslin backing. I will be listing several quilts, all made by the same woman. There are some areas of discoloration on most of the quilts, which I have tried to show in the pictures. It is part of the original patina of these neat old pieces. Great for wall decor or bedding. These pieces do no have any holes or torn areas. All date to the 1920’s to 40’s. I did not launder or soak these pieces due the the quantity. I find that soaking in oxiclean will generally clean them up quite nicely. This piece is 68" wide and 74" long. A very neat old piece. All are lined and I would consider them a medium weight. This quilt is done in purple and green. A neat piece.
